Constipation arises when we are stressed, overworked, have mental tensions, are not drinking enough water, and/or are eating an imbalanced diet. Most people think of constipation as a physical blockage of the body, but it can also represent mental blockage. Parallel issues that may arise with disrupted digestion include: skin disease, sexual disorders, headaches, diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. Luckily, constipation is not a permanent condition, and with attention to our body’s signals, we can open and release that which is causing the suffering.
