What You Will Learn

The Hatha yoga, Pranayama, and Ayurvedic wisdom will provide concrete practices and inspiration that will shift your everyday life in positive directions. Hatha literally means sun (ha) and moon (tha), it is the balancing of the energies of life. Pranayama in Sanskrit translates to the ‘extension of the prana or breath.’ Essentially, Prana means ‘life-force’, and is the vital energy or life-force that pervades the body, as well as the spiritual link between the mind and consciousness. Pranayama assists in purifying the blood, reducing anxiety and stress levels, clearing negative emotions, addressing repressed anger, removing toxins and preventing disease, and strengthening the immune system. Ayurveda is the centuries-old ‘science of life.’ Through Ayurveda we learn ways to harmonize the body, in tune with our natural rhythms and with the subtle and greater life-forces. With this strong foundation, we have tools for living a healthy, balanced life in these times.
